Calories, and Macro-Nutrients and Exercise Oh My!

Calories and Macro-Nutrients and Exercise Oh My! What is a person supposed to do with all of this information?

If you are trying to change your eating habits for the better, where the heck do you start to find the correct and healthy information?

It can be mind-boggling to try and figure out what the best healthy, life style change is for you. If you are like me, and need to lose weight, and need to make better food choices, and need to get more exercise, well need to exercise period, it can become overwhelmingly daunting very quickly. Hence the "old give-up attitude" and returning to the "same O, same O" lifestyle returns.

I have tried everything under the sun, from weight watchers to Jenny Craig, to Nutri-System, to Paleo, to Vegetarian, to Curves, to the Gym - you name it I have been through it all. So what really works? Their is no one general answer for anyone. No two bodies are the same, no two minds are the same, no two attitudes are the same. What works for one, may not work for another. And ya know what, it's OK.

But here is the kicker - If you change your attitude about living a better life, then you will find your #healthhappiness, one day at a time.

You don't need a "Diet Plan" you need a "Life Plan". Diets are simply a temporary tool to get you started on making changes in the way that you eat. You need to Eat to Live, not Live to Eat. In order to stay with that motto-attitude, you need to start from within yourself. Changing your eating and exercising habits is a life-long change, not a temporary change. And "Attitude" is everything!

Once you figure out what is truly important to you in your life, it will be much easier to achieve life-long changes towards being healthy and fit.

You need to make that commitment to yourself, not to anyone else. Find inspiration in the little things. Find motivation in the big things. Embrace change like it is the first day of the rest of your life, no matter what age you are.

You will find your health happiness, it may take a little time, but time is all we have right?
