Graham Cracker Crust

  • 2 Cups finely crushed graham crackers (about 30 squares)

  • 1/3 Cup melted butter plus 2 Tablespoons

  • 3 Tablespoons sugar

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In a medium sized bowl, stir in all the ingredients until well combined.

  3. Press the crumb mixture firmly and evenly against the bottom and sides of the 9 inch glass pie plate.

  4. Bake 10-12 minutes or until light brown. Cool completely on a cooling rack. Fill as directed in your favorite pie recipe.

** Note** You can use the following in place of graham crackers:

For a cookie crumb crust: Substitute 1 1/2 cups of finely crushed chocolate wafer cookies (24 cookies). Use Vanilla wafer cookies (35 cookies) or Gingersnap cookies (30 cookies).

Decrease the butter to 1/4 cup and omit the sugar for these cookie crusts.
