To maintain a healthy lifestyle, you need to keep eating healthy. Add more fruits and

vegetables in your diet and eat less carbohydrates, high sodium and unhealthy fat. Avoid eating junk food and sweets. Avoid skipping a meal—this will only make your body crave more food the moment you resume eating.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Water cleanses toxins from the body, improves brain function, energizes your muscles, helps control weight gain, and balances body temperature and fluids. It’s recommended to drink about 8 glasses, or 64 ounces, of water per day.

Manage your mental health - When it comes to building a healthy lifestyle, it’s easy to concentrate on the physical aspects of health and ignore the mental upkeep. Remember that your mental health is the foundation of your overall health. Feed your brain with happy thoughts and it will migrate thru your whole body!

Exercise! Your body is your temple. You don’t want it to start breaking down by lack of movement! Exercise is a great way to stimulate your health. Both physically and mentally. Physical activity helps improve longevity and overall health. Try to exercise up to three times a week. Pick a time of the day that works for you!

Remember to keep your workouts fun. You should enjoy your exercise and not feel like it’s a chore. Biking, jogging and even yoga are great ways to keep you active and healthy!

It is so beneficial to stop, take a deep breath, and relax. You can help maintain your physical and mental health by decompressing from a long, stressful school or work week. Try some relaxing activities to help you relax. Take advantage of meditation, listening to music, reading or exercising. These activities can help you unwind and will help you get the sleep and rest you need every day! A restful mind and body = a happier, healthier YOU!
