Isn’t this what our parents and grandparents always told us to do when we were young? Well, they were right! And we still need to eat our veggies every day!
Did they tell you that you couldn’t leave the table until you finished all your veggies? Well, they were right! Did they tell you that you couldn’t have any dessert until you ate all your veggies? Well, they were right! Not, that we needed a dessert at every meal, but the veggies part they certainly got right!
Why? Because of all the nutrients in them. They helped us and are still helping us to grow up to be strong and healthy! We may not have believed it back then, but do we believe it now? Yes, we do! For good reason! There are so many good ways to cook our veggies now than thought of back in the day! They are not just your boring boiled or steamed veggies anymore. Not to say, that they still taste great cooked that way. But with so much variety and so many recipes, and so many ways to cook them, we just have to love them again! Why? Because they are so good for us!
