Kielbasa, Cabbage and Potato Soup Crockpot Recipe
2 Celery Stalks, chopped
2 Medium carrots, peeled and chopped or 2 cups baby peeled carrots, chopped
1 small yellow or white onion, chopped
3 Cups thinly sliced green cabbage (1 small head)
3 garlic cloves. minced
8 baby potatoes (tri-color package) or just yellow, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 package (14-16 oz.) polish kielbasa, thinly sliced crosswise
6 cups organic chicken broth
1 cup whole milk
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
Dash of black pepper
To add at end of cooking time:
2 Cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 Cup sour cream
Add the celery, carrots, onion, cabbage, garlic and potatoes to the crockpot.
Add the kielbasa on top.
Add the chicken broth.
In a separate measuring cup add the milk and cornstarch - whisk until completely combined with no lumps.
Pour the milk over the top.
Stir all the ingredients together.
Sprinkle the black pepper over the top.
Set Crock Pot on low for 6 hours.
At the end of the cooking time, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream until melted and dissolved. (Health Happiness recipe - omit these 2 ingredients) - Just as yummy!
Serve immediately and top with more cheddar cheese if desired.
Add Cheddar Cheese to the top if desired!
