Ingredients:
- 12 oz. uncooked egg noodles
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 can (15 oz.) diced tomatoes, drained
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Large Egg
- 8 oz. Ricotta Cheese
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded, reserved
Directions:
1. Cook the egg noodles until al dente. Rinse in cold water and set aside.
2. Meanwhile. add the ground beef in a skillet. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until the beef is browned. Drain the excess grease.
4. Pour in the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until the sauce has thickened, about 5 minutes.
5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Egg, Ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Add the cooked egg noodles. Mix well.
6. Spoon half of the creamy pasta mixture into a 9×13 casserole dish.
7. Top with half of the beef mixture and 1/2 Cup half of the mozzarella cheese.
8. Repeat with one more layer of pasta, beef, and top with the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese.
9. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 35-40 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
