Ingredients:
• 1 cup salted butter
• 1 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cup packed light brown sugar
• 3 large eggs
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 table spoon ground coffee
• 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 8 x 8-inch pan on all sides.
2. Place the butter in a small sauce pan and set over medium low heat to brown.
3. Add the cocoa powder to the brown butter and combine until no lumps of cocoa remain.
4. Beat the eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla together until light, fluffy and pale in color. You should be able to see air bubbles.
5. Add the butter mixture to the egg mixture and fold together.
6. Add the flour, salt, and coffee. Fold the mixture until no streaks of flour remain. Note: the batter will be very thick so shifting the flour first will make folding it easier.
7. Last, fold in the chocolate chips.
8. Transfer mixture into the baking pan and smooth out until even. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes. Check for doneness by having the edges set and poking the center with a knife that comes out with a bit of brownie on it still.
