Kahlua by Cheri


Ingredients:

· 3 ¼ Cups sugar

· 2 Cups Water

· 1-2-inch vanilla bean

· 5 T Instant Coffee

· 1 Quart Vodka


Directions:

1. Dissolve 3 ¼ cups sugar into the 2 cups of water. Add the vanilla bean and bring to a boil. Boil slowly for 45 minutes.

2. Dissolve 5 T of the instant coffee into ¼ cup of the boiled water.

3. Blend the coffee mixture into 1 quart of vodka.

4. Add the sugar mixture slowly to the vodka.

5. Store in a dark brown bottle for 1 month.

(makes a ½ gallon)
