Ingredients:
1 Cup chopped Pecans or Walnuts
1 yellow cake mix
1 3.4oz. instant vanilla pudding
4 eggs
¼ C cold water
½ C cooking oil
½ C Rum
Glaze:
¼ lb. butter
¼ C water
1 Cup sugar
½ C Rum
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour tube or bundt pan. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of the pan.
Mix all the cake ingredients together in a mixer. Pour the batter over the nuts.
Bake for 1 hour. Cool and invert on a serving plate.
To Make the glaze:
Melt the butter in a saucepan and stir in the water & sugar. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and stir in the rum.
Prick the top of the cake with a fork and drizzle the glaze over the top and sides of the cake. Let it all absorb. Repeat until all the glaze is used.
