Ingredients:
1 pound brussels sprouts
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
¼ teaspoon salt and pepper
Glaze:
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
4 teaspoons honey
5 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup
1 Tablespoon Water
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Trim the bottom of the sprouts and cut in half lengthwise. If you have a really large one, cut into quarters.
Place in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper.
Gently toss the brussels sprouts so all sides of the sprouts are covered with the oil.
Place on a baking sheet lined with tin foil or parchment paper.
Bake in preheated oven for 18-20 minutes until the brussels sprouts are a deep golden brown color on the outside and soft on the inside.
While brussels sprouts are in the oven, make the Balsamic - Maple glaze. Combine balsamic, honey, syrup and water in a small pan. Cook over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Stir regularly until mixture begins to thicken. Look for a thin syrup consistency.
When brussels sprouts are done, remove from oven and place on a serving dish. Drizzle glaze over sprouts and serve.
