Beef Stroganoff for your Crock Pot!
2 lbs. beef stew meat
Two .87 oz. packets brown gravy packets
1 1/2 cups water
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
2 garlic cloves, minced
During the end of cooking time:
16 oz. sour cream (Stir in at the end of the cooking time)
8 oz. egg noodles - (Add in and mix with the stew during the last hour of cooking time)
(they will cook with the stew in the crockpot) OR if you forget - you can cook according to package directions on the stove top and top with the stew.
Add the stew meat, onions and mushrooms to the crock pot.
Sprinkle over the thyme, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper.
In a small bowl whisk together the water and gravy mixes. Pour over the meat in the slow cooker.
Cook on low for 6 hours or HIGH for 4 hours without opening the lid during the cooking time.
During the last hour of cooking time, add the egg noodles and stir to cover completely with the liquid.
At the end of the cooking time, add the sour cream; stir and mix everything all together until smooth. Serve and Enjoy!
