Cherry Pie Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup butter, melted

  • 1 Cup granulated sugar

  • ½ Cup light brown sugar, packed

  • 3 ½ Cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 21 oz. Can cherry pie filling


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Line a 9” square baking pan with parchment paper.

  3. Whisk butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar together until well mixed.

  4. Add flour and stir to combine until the mixture is crumbly. Set aside 1 cup of the mixture to use as a topping.

  5. Press the remainder of the crumbled mixture into the parchment paper lined pan and press firmly to pack it down.

  6. Add the pie filling evenly over the crust.

  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of the crumbled mixture over the pie filling.

  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let cool for 1-2 hours before serving.

*note* you can substitute other pie filling fruit as well! Blueberry, Mixed Berry, etc.
