It's Summertime, now what?

Do you have your bathing beauty body yet? Have you lost the weight you wanted to yet by this time? If not, you are not alone!

Those January resolutions you made to yourself of having a certain amount of weight off by June has expired. So now what?

Didn't reach the goal you wanted to? Then it's time to Re-visit your old goals and make changes and improvements to what you said you were gonna do.

No sense in beating yourself up for not having that beach body this summer!

The year has not ended yet, and summer is just beginning. You can still reach all (or) of some of your weight loss goals you set for yourself!

Don't give up on that summertime poolside body yet!

Here are some great tips to get you or (keep you) on track with your weight loss journey:

1. IT’S A LIFESTYLE, NOT A DIET This is not a short- term fix; it is a way of life.

2. GET ORGANIZED Structure your life and you will structure what you are eating.

3. EAT SMALL Portion control is crucial for losing weight.

4. LEARN TO LEAVE FOOD ON YOUR PLATE This helps you take control of compulsive eating.

5. NEVER FEEL DEPRIVED This only encourages bingeing.

6. MAKE A MEAL OUT OF IT Make a ceremony out of every meal, so that you really appreciate what you’ve eaten.

7. EAT SLOWLY AND MINDFULLY That way, you’ll feel satisfied before you’ve eaten too much.

8. ENJOY YOUR FOOD It is one of life’s greatest pleasures, not a punishment.

9. MOVE IT! Exercise is a key essential of losing weight.

10. GET ENOUGH SLEEP Structuring your sleeping patterns will regulate metabolism.

Losing weight is not a marathon however, slow, and steady will give you permanent results. It is not a temporary fix; it is a permanent fix for healthy lifestyle changes. You need to incorporate these 10 commandments into your journey and you will be successful in reaching that summertime body of yours! (Or Fall or Winter or Spring) You decide! You got this!
