Maple Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 3 cups powdered sugar

  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream


Directions:

  1. Beat the butter on medium until light and fluffy. 1-2 minutes.

  2. Add in the maple syrup and beat for another 30 seconds to 1 minute on medium, or until well combined.

  3. Reduce the mixer speed to low and add in the powdered sugar 1/2 cup at a time.

  4. Once all the powdered sugar is in, turn the mixer back up to medium high until the sugar is well-incorporated.

  5. Pour in the heavy cream while the mixer is still running. Beat another 1-2 minutes longer, or until the buttercream is light, fluffy, and smooth.

    This frosting goes great on my pumpkin cake recipe! Or any Fall Cake!
