Natural Protein Bars

Ingredients:


¼ C Wheat germ 2 Bananas ¼ C Applesauce 2 T protein powder (I used chocolate) 2 T Honey ¼ C peanut butter (all natural) 1 ½ C quick-cooking oats ¼ C ground flax seed 1 tsp cinnamon ½ tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla ¼ C Creamy all natural peanut butter


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper or tinfoil.

  2. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mash bananas and mix all wet ingredients in a separate bowl.

  3. Stir wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.

  4. Spread in the lined pan and bake for 20 minutes. Take out of oven and spread ¼ c peanut butter over the top and then bake for another 10 minutes.

  5. Let cool and slice into bars. Store in the refrigerator.
