Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 ½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
For the topping:
½ cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats, set aside.
In a large bowl, beat together the butter, sugar, and eggs with a stand mixer until light and fluffy.
In a separate bowl whisk together flour, salt, cream of tartar, and baking soda. Add this mixture into the sugar and butter mixture. Mix again until dough forms.
In a small bowl mix together the cinnamon sugar topping. Form ½ inch round balls of dough. Roll each ball around in the cinnamon sugar coating it generously.
Place dough balls two inches apart on your baking sheet.
