Change the Way You Feel!
In order to change the way, you feel, you have to change the way you think about food.
Food is eating to live not living to eat. So, changing the way we feel about what we eat everyday can change how our bodies feel every day.
Since starting my own weight loss health happiness journey a couple of years ago, I can definitely tell the difference in how I feel. When I eat nutritious good-for-you food every day, I feel great! I have more energy, my gut health feels great, my bloodwork is awesome, my diabetes numbers are almost back to normal and I just feel wonderful, like I can take on the whole world and do everything I want to do!
When I eat stuff that is not so great for me (granted we all have these days, and it is absolutely o.k.) I don’t feel so great! I have very little energy (or none at all), my gut health doesn’t feel so good, and I just don’t feel like doing much that day!
It happens, and it is o.k. to eat junk food every now and then. We have to be realistic with ourselves. To say I will never eat fries or a cheeseburger or enjoy ice cream ever again would be a huge lie to myself! But eating this stuff every day = not feeling so great!
So, can we have cookies and ice cream and pizza? Absolutely – we just have to remember the mindset that moderation is key and is so important. So sparingly having a treat every now and then will not hurt us at all. But if this is your constant menu, then your body will eventually say o.k. girl – enough is enough! You don’t feel well, so time to make some changes!
Making the right food choices gives you the chance to change the way you feel about food and how it effects your body. Getting the right nutrients every day from what you eat is so important for
your brain and gut health. What you feed your gut tells your brain exactly how your body feels each day.
So, if you want to feel good every day, then make the right food choices. Pick more choices from the Earth.
Vegetables, fruits, whole grains are just a handful of great choices to add to your diet. Making just one simple change to your diet is a great way to start out on eating healthy and feeling super! I found that starting out slowly and eliminating and adding one change a week worked better for me for long-term success than trying to incorporate all the changes “cold turkey”. Trying to cram all the needed changes into every week was just too overwhelming.
I needed to learn about each change and how it effected my body first. Education was key! I researched everything that I needed to change first. I simply added more vegetables and fruits and watched my sugar and carbohydrates intake every day. I also wanted to lose weight on this journey, so I started counting my caloric intake and exercise every day. Journaling my thoughts daily also helped me thru this process. Creating this blog was one way to keep me on track. And it continues to keep me on track every day! 😊
Making changes doesn’t have to be hard if you make them the right way. Getting back on track to feeling better was an easy choice for me. I mean, who doesn’t want to feel their best every day? Finding out what worked for me, may not be the same for others, but it all starts with the attitude and frame of mind that we want to make changes, and take the chances we never thought we could to feel our absolute best!
Change is Good! Go for it today, what have you got to lose? Better choices, better chances, better health happiness lives!
Make your changes today. It was the best decision I ever made to take the chance and change the way I felt about food! Now I absolutely eat to live!
