July 17, 2020

That old saying “laughter is the best medicine” is so much more relevant in these times than you can ever imagine!

If you cannot control what is happening in your life, let go and let live. There is nothing you can do about it anyway, so stop worrying about things that you have no control over and just laugh and be happy!

Laughing and smiling uses so many muscles in your face, that you are exercising your true happiness when you don’t even know it!

Putting a smile on your face and laughing about funny, stupid stuff will put a smile on everyone’s face around you! How cool is that to be surrounded by laughing, smiling faces! So freakin cool!

It is so great for your health happiness journey, to be happy in knowing that you are doing everything that you can to achieve your wellness! Don’t you just want to jump up and down and cheer and laugh about all your successes?! I sure do!

Laughter can be such a stress reliever in your life. Who doesn’t want more laughs and less stress? I sure do! Find what makes you happy, find what makes you laugh and start spreading the cheer and happiness – who doesn’t want to do that? I sure want to!

Relax, take a deep breath and just smile at your life and the journey you are taking towards an incredible health happiness body!

How does stress affect your body you ask?

Indeed, stress symptoms can affect your body, your thoughts and feelings, and your behavior. Being able to recognize common stress symptoms can help you manage them. Stress that's left unchecked can contribute to many health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes.

Who wants that? I sure don’t!

What organs are affected by stress?

  • Your Musculoskeletal system. When the body is stressed, muscles tense up.

  • Your Respiratory system. The respiratory system supplies oxygen to cells and removes carbon dioxide waste from the body.

  • Your Cardiovascular system. The heart and blood vessels comprise the two elements of the cardiovascular system that work together in providing nourishment and oxygen to the organs of the body.

  • Your Endocrine system. When you are feeling stressed out this results in an increase in the production of steroid hormones called glucocorticoids, which include cortisol, often referred to as the “stress hormone”.

  • Your Gastrointestinal system. Stress can affect this brain-gut communication, and may trigger pain, bloating and other gut discomfort to be felt more easily.

  • Your Nervous system. When the body is stressed, it responds to what is known as the "fight or flight" response. The body signals the adrenal glands to release hormones called adrenalin (epinephrine) and cortisol. These hormones, together with direct actions of autonomic nerves, cause the heart to beat faster , respiration rate to increase, blood vessels in the arms and legs to dilate, the digestive process to change and glucose levels (sugar energy) in the bloodstream to increase to deal with the bodies stress.

  • Who wants this? I sure do not!

So what do you do to overcome your stress, laugh and be happy? I thought you would never ask!

· Exercise. Exercise is one of the most important things you can do to combat stress. Go for a walk or jog!

· Are you getting enough vitamins and minerals in your diet?

· Reduce your caffeine intake.

· Write all your thoughts down – keep a journal!

· Chew gum. Yup – get those chompers moving!

· Spend time with friends and family.

· Learn to just say No! Come on you can do it!

· Avoid procrastination! Just get it done already!

· Take a yoga or relaxing class. Ahhh… relief ….

· Read a book or magazine. Get off that device! Spend some alone time!

· Remove yourself from the situation. Walk or “run” away!

· Observe and practice your mindfulness – just relax and practice your breathing exercises.

Oh, and most importantly did I mention just…

· Laugh (it does your body good!)

Less Stress = Success!

Go forth and be happy and just laugh at the world! There is nothing greater than this feeling in the whole entire world! Smile 😊baby just smile 😊.
