What if I'm OK and Don't Know it?

What If I’m really OK and Don’t Know it?

That question comes to all of us at one time or another. We have to question every little thing sometimes instead of just accepting who we are and accept that “YES”, we really are o.k. whether we want to believe it or not!

Being o.k. with who we are is just a small step towards healing on our health happiness journeys. Learning to say No can be very hard to do when it comes to our own well-being.

Letting go of all the little things that stop us from being o.k. with how our lives are going can be overwhelming at times. It’s so much easier letting go of all the big stuff we have done, because we think of those as accomplishments. But letting go of all the little things can just sit on our shoulder’s day after day, wearing us down.

We need to think of all the little things we have done as big accomplishments too.

Our brains work like little puzzle pieces sometimes. We crave to have them all in the right places, and sometimes we have to re-do them over and over. But the truth is, some of the pieces were already in the correct places to begin with. So how do we really know if we are o.k.?

Ask yourself these three little questions?

Am I happy?

Am I loved?

Can I give love?

Simple questions? Yes! Simple answers? Yes!

If you just aren’t feeling it yet, then perhaps you do need to work on yourself, maybe you just aren’t o.k. enough yet to answer yes to these questions. But Good News! You can and will get there!

Being O.K. and being good enough starts with you.

“Happiness is not the absence of problems, but the ability to keep things in perspective and deal with them.”

So, “Why can’t I just be happy?”

The good news is you don’t have to live like this. There is a better way to view the world and lead you towards happiness. The first step, though, is to stop searching. You will never find happiness by continually looking for it in another time and place. When you focus on the lack of something in your life, what you want will always elude you.

You really are doing so much better than you give yourself credit for. Most of us are so busy trying to make something big happen, that we forget to pause and appreciate all our little victories. The little things that happen every day!

Rather than dwelling on what’s missing in your life, start looking at what you have. This isn’t just about material possessions; it’s about all the goodness in your life. When you focus on all the greatness you already have, the negative feelings that come from lacking something else gradually fade from your conscious. Living isn’t an easy thing to do, but it can be enjoyable when you start to see the good instead of focusing on the bad.

Live your life the way that you want to, and you will absolutely be O.K.!
