Chocolate Brownie Trifle Bowl


Ingredients:

  • 1 Box of your favorite brownie mix

  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened

  • 3 Cups cold milk

  • 1 (3.9 oz.) package instant chocolate pudding mix

  • 1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

  • 1 chocolate bar

  • ½ bag (10 oz.) of mini semi-sweet chocolate morsels

  • Red & green sugar crystals for holiday decoration, optional*


Directions:

  1. Make the brownies according to the package directions. Cool completely and then cut into 1-inch squares. Set aside.

  2. Beat the cream cheese in an electric mixer. Add the milk and pudding mix; beat until smooth.

  3. Fold in the whipped topping until well incorporated into the filling.

  4. Place ½ of the brownie squares at the bottom of a trifle bowl, or glass bowl; top with ½ of the filling. Sprinkle ½ of the chocolate chips on top and then using a shaver or vegetable peeler shave ½ of the chocolate bar on top. Repeat with the remaining brownies, filling, chocolate chips and shavings.

  5. For the holidays – sprinkle red & green sugar crystals on top (* optional)

  6. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours or overnight.

(if overnight – sprinkle the red & green crystals on top the next day)
